Yellowstone River from Chittenden Memorial Bridge

The original bridge was constructed in 1903 to span the Yellowstone River above its upper fall and called Chittenden Bridge from 1912 until it was replaced by a structure better-suited to modern traffic needs in 1963. The new structure was dedicated as the Chittenden Memorial Bridge, named after Captian Hiram M. Chittenden.
