Lower Yellowstone Falls |

The 308 foot (93 m) Lower Falls was formed by the leading edge of Canyon Rhyolite lava flow and the western edge of the hydrothermal activity. The unaltered lava at the brink did not erode, while the hydrothermally altered and weakened lava eroded easily. |
