Mt. Holmes from Gibbon Meadows

Mt. Holmes was named by Henry Gannett in 1878 for Whiliam Henry Holmes -- the artist-geologist for the Hayden Survey (1872-1878). Look close at the top, you can almost make out the fire tower.
